2027 Foundation Enrolments

For the 2027 school year, applications to enrol in Foundation (Prep) at Victorian government primary schools officially open on Monday, 20 April 2026. Children must turn five years old by April 30 in their starting year. 

The statewide enrolment process follows a strict timeline designed to help you secure a place at your local designated neighbourhood school. 

The Enrolment Process:

1. Find your local school: Use the Find my School website to identify your designated neighbourhood school and view nearby options.

2. Book a tour: Contact the school directly to arrange a tour and ask questions about their specific facilities and programs.

3.  Download the Foundation enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation. This pack includes guidance on the application process. 

4. Submit your application: You can submit your application using the VicStudents Portal. Applications must be submitted by Friday, 31 July 2026. 

Other Year Level Enrolments

We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
